Halloween is one of our favourite holidays but unfortunately here in New Zealand, you miss a bit of the experience… the trip to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkin to carve, the hot apple cider with mulled spices, the crisp chill in the fall air and the nights that start to get dark just a little bit earlier.
But that is no reason not to get festive and do a little Sip or Treating today!

These chocolatey orange kiwi delights are perfect for a glass of crisp, on the drier side, Pinot Gris. Or if you like it a bit darker, try a spicy Tempranillo to enhance the spice and orange essence.
A favourite here in New Zealand, this needs something that will enhance the intense flavour. Try a deep Syrah or Merlot that has a slight essence of liquorice but has the caramel and toast that will easily blend and enhance this treat.
These distinctive chewy lollies need a versatile wine, one that can handle the variety of flavours. How about spicing it up with a dry Albariño or if you really like it sweet, try it with a slightly sweet Riesling.
