Get ready for Mother’s Day this Sunday and spoil your Mama with some quality time and a bottle of fine vino!
One hard-working mum of two and godmother to several hundred thousand little grapes is winemaker Jules Taylor. She grew up in Marlborough at the time that the wine industry was taking off.
Jules did a zoology degree, followed by a postgraduate course in winemaking & viticulture at Lincoln and found her way into the industry. She made her first batch of Jules Taylor wines in 2001.
Her are a couple of Jules’ fabulous wines that are definitely Mother’s Day gift worthy; her iconic Marlborough Sav & Gisborne Rosé:
Jules Taylor Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016
This vibrant Savvy is an extrovert that wants to chat about all things yummy Sav. Lemon-lime charisma with a fresh young spirit instantly attract you to its lively tropical flavours and approachable yet defined structure.
Not vacant or superficial, this is a promising youth full of enthusiasm and depth waiting to share its passion with the world.
Jules Taylor Gisborne Rosé 2016
This wine is instant pure, plush, dark pink velour. Succulent, it softly caresses your senses with a bouquet of fragrant strawberries, bits of cherries and a lushness that speaks to summer nights and friends. It’s velvety nature from first sip throughout lulls you while the full fruit fills your taste buds.
A gorgeous wine to enjoy as the long evenings become shorter and you long for an Indian Summer.
