Tigermoth Riesling 2016 by Rockburn Wines
Central Otago | $33

Rockburn Tigermoth Riesling

We all have that wine geek friend that is perfect to have around if you want to pick a high-end or slightly unusual wine but who also easily bores you to death once they get started talking clones and pH levels.

This Sipmas we’re thankful for that friend for introducing us to the Tigermoth which is named after a war plane. A great example of old world meets new world wine, Tigermoth is inspired by the Spätlese wines of Germany. Its sweetness and acidity are playing along nicely in this sip, allowing the apricot and mandarin notes to take centre stage.
