Te Mata is one of Hawke’s Bay’s premier family owned producers, probably most famously known for their highly exclusive and sought after Coleraine wines.
However this small producer does outstanding wines across the board and is a definite must-see when you visit the picturesque Hawke’s Bay.
One of my personal favourites is their Bullnose Syrah which is amazingly priced for the wine that you are able to experience. This is the type of wine that makes Hawke’s Bay such an exciting wine region.
Te Mata Bullnose Syrah 2014
This wine is pure boudoir from its dark and velvety textures, enticing aromas and a sensualness that is hard to escape. Buxom and voluminous it is tiered with burgundy layers of black fruit and spicy tobacco with hints of pepper and caramel.
Opulent and luxurious to the finish you might just want to curl up with a glass in your own boudoir.
